Trier University of Applied Sciences (Trier UAS) Summary
This master file contains a course portfolio of 16 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate entries. Where applicable, subject combinations have been grouped together under their parent degrees. Examples at the undergraduate level are Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Business Informatics. Later examples include Environmental Planning, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Business and Technology. Postgraduate studies are offered in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Interdisciplinary Engineering, Business Management, Renewable Energy Management, Sustainable Change and Process and Energy Engineering. The parent qualification for each course is still maintained and specialisations remain as part of the course entry and not as separate degrees. Dual, cooperative, part-time and practice-integrated variants are kept within the relevant parent qualification, rather than as unrelated degrees.
Admission is handled at program level. Apply online as published for the program. International credentials may require uni-assist. Restricted courses may have additional selection steps. Design programs may require a portfolio or aptitude examination. Before you submit, please check the teaching language, entry semester, subject prerequisites, selection procedure and document route. International School or University Qualifications External evaluation, certified translations, APS documentation where applicable or other proof of academic equivalence may be required. Master’s committees may ask for module descriptions, portfolios, writing samples, professional experience, or interviews. Entry to a doctorate is distinct from admission to a bachelors or masters degree and generally requires a viable research proposal, eligible supervision and formal acceptance by the relevant faculty.
No tuition fee is charged for regular degree study. Campus and status exceptions may differ. The winter contribution 2026/27 for standard Main Campus enrolment is €395.80, including the student services, student representation, the Germany semester ticket and the one-time chip-card component for new enrolment. These institutional charges exclude rent, health insurance, food, learning materials, residence formalities, project costs or personal travel. Special tuition may be applied in the case of continuing-education, distance-learning, joint, second-degree or long-term study formats, if provided for by the relevant law or program regulation. Funding may include BAföG for eligible students, the Deutschlandstipendium, DAAD and Erasmus+ mobility support, foundations, research employment or university-specific awards, but each funding application is assessed independently from admission.
Careers preparation is based on the subject mix of the university and is not a guarantyd placement scheme. Career paths are supported by cross-border employers, environmental technology companies, planning offices, manufacturers, public authorities, creative companies, tourism organisations and companies based in Luxembourg. Internships, applied projects, research assistantships, employer events, language development, entrepreneurship services, international mobility and an externally partnered thesis offer students the opportunity to enhance their professional readiness.
