RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau is a public technical university in Kaiserslautern and Landau, Rhineland-Palatinate . RPTU was established through the merger of the former Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau, thus becoming a two-campus technical and comprehensive university. Its institutional development includes 1946 — A teachers' training academy was established in Landau. 1969 — founded University of Trier-Kaiserslautern.
