International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar (IIIT-BH) is a technology-focused university established by the Government of Odisha in 2006 to develop advanced education, research and professional capability in information technology and related fields. The institute was conceived as a specialized higher-education institution rather than a general university, with technology, computing and their applications forming the core of its academic identity. On 20 January 2014, the Government of Odisha converted the institute into a unitary university, strengthening its authority to design academic programmes, conduct examinations, award degrees and expand research.
