You have to begin by visiting the live program page as language, semester start, academic prerequisites and selection rules differ. For winter 2026/27 international master’s applications, uni-assist opened May 1, closed generally for restricted programs July 15 and unrestricted programs September 30; exceptions: Data Science for some earlier applicants. International qualifications may need to go through their own credential-review pathway, and master’s applicants may be asked to provide descriptions of their modules so that the relevant committee can compare previous coursework with the degree they are applying for. Admission is not the same as enrolment: an admitted applicant still needs to complete the document, health-insurance and payment steps mentioned in the offer. Doctoral study is undertaken through faculty, graduate-school or co-operative arrangements and requires a suitable project and academic supervision.
There are no tuition fees for normal degree study. The university estimates the semester contribution to be around €400 and it covers student services, student representation, administration and the Germany semester ticket. Exceptions on a course-specific basis are still possible, especially regarding professional or continuing education, joint or cooperative study. Students should, therefore, budget for costs in addition to the published institutional charge for housing, insurance, learning materials, travel, and any program-specific costs. The funding can be provided through BAföG if you meet the requirements, the Deutschlandstipendium, foundations, mobility grants, project employment or doctoral support. However, every funding has its own application and selection process.
Career preparation is reflective of the university’s academic profile and not a placement guarantee. The International Career Service, practice phases in the departments, dual programs, start-up support and projects with employers bring study into contact with the health, food, technology, social and business world of central Hesse. Students can improve their outcomes by engaging in internships, practical projects, research assistantships, employer events, entrepreneurship support, international experiences, and early use of career counselling. Fulda is a good choice for students looking for an applied public university with a lot of study in English, health and nutrition content, and flexible study formats. The best candidates will be comparing curriculum, language of instruction, entry rules and location to their own academic background before applying.
