CBSE Experience Centre Features Ancient Nalanda, AI and Interactive Displays
The Central Board of Secondary Education’s new Experience Centre in Dwarka, New Delhi, takes visitors through the story of education in India, from ancient learning traditions such as Nalanda to digital classrooms and future careers. The Ministry of Education says the centre contains 12 zones and 21 exhibits across 6,000 square feet. It was inaugurated at the CBSE Integrated Complex on October 27, 2026.
The centre is designed to offer students ways to explore ideas beyond textbooks. Its displays combine historical material, interactive activities and technology-enabled experiences. The Ministry’s announcement describes opportunities to engage with emerging technologies, though it does not identify a separate AI exhibit by name. Students and schools should check CBSE’s official channels for visitor arrangements before planning a visit.

From Nalanda to digital learning
The experience begins with “Shiksha Ki Kahani,” a film narrated through a voice representing the river Saraswati. It traces the development of education from the gurukul system and historic centres such as Nalanda to present-day schools and digital classrooms. A separate section uses photographs and archival material, including records from 1935, to show the evolution of CBSE.
Other installations take students through an interactive geological timeline of Earth’s history and career exploration displays. “Career Explorer,” “Future of Professions” and “Magic Mirror: Future You” are intended to help visitors think about possible career paths and how work may change. Holographic interactions feature Dr B. R. Ambedkar and Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
RFID-enabled smart cards let visitors interact with exhibits, take part in activities and access personalised takeaways and game-based leaderboards. The final experience, “Eduverse,” uses motion-based interaction and multisensory elements to move through forests, oceans and the Himalayas before extending the journey to the Moon and other planets.
What students and schools should know
The launch aligns with the National Education Policy 2020’s emphasis on experiential and holistic learning. The Ministry’s release presents the centre as a place to connect history, science, technology and career awareness in one visit. It does not provide opening hours, booking instructions, group-visit eligibility or admission charges. Teachers and school administrators should confirm these details with CBSE before arranging transport or scheduling a group visit.
