IIT Indore CSE 2026 Round-Wise Rank Analysis
IIT Indore’s Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) cutoff for 2026 was published through JoSAA counselling. One important correction for students: IIT College Admissions use JEE Advanced ranks, not JEE Main ranks. The figures below refer to the OPEN category, gender-neutral seats and the All India quota. They are historical allotment ranks, not a guaranteed cutoff for a future year.
In the final JoSAA 2026 round, IIT Indore CSE opened at rank 1,186 and closed at rank 1,676 for this seat type. The closing rank moved back by 48 places from Round 1, when it was 1,628. Across the first four rounds, the opening rank remained 1,186 and the closing rank was 1,639 from Round 2 onward, before changing in Round 5.

| Round 1 | 1,186 | 1,628 | Baseline |
| Round 2 | 1,186 | 1,639 | 11 places |
| Round 3 | 1,186 | 1,639 | 11 places |

A higher closing-rank number means a seat was allotted to a candidate with a rank further down the list in that round. It does not mean the programme became less competitive in a lasting way: seat movement can reflect upgrades, withdrawals and choices made by candidates during counselling. The opening and closing figures also describe only the specific category and gender pool shown here.
How to interpret the cutoff
JoSAA’s opening and closing rank portal reports ranks by round, institute, programme, seat category and gender pool. For OPEN seats, the published rank represents the Common Rank List (CRL); reserved-category seats use their respective category ranks. Therefore, candidates should compare their own JEE Advanced rank with the correct category and seat type, rather than relying on a single headline number.
Use the five-round table as a reference when arranging preferences, not as a prediction of the next counselling cycle. Seat availability, the number of applicants, programme preferences and counselling rules can change each year. Candidates should also list acceptable alternatives and arrange choices in their genuine order of preference. JoSAA publishes the official rank data and seat-allocation instructions on its portal.
