Xavier university Summary
Woxsen University is a state private university in Telangana that evolved from Woxsen School of Business, established in 2014 on a 200-acre residential campus near Hyderabad. The institution began with management education and entrepreneurship, including the Woxsen Trade Tower incubation and investment center launched in its founding year. In 2016, Woxsen added the School of Arts and Design, beginning its transition from a specialized business school into a multidisciplinary institution. Architecture and planning followed in 2019 alongside major investment in artificial intelligence, robotics and business analytics. Woxsen received university status in May 2020 and became one of the early private universities established under Telangana's private-university framework. Today its schools cover business, arts and design, architecture and planning, technology, liberal arts and humanities, law and sciences. The university's academic model is organized around applied learning, academic excellence, global exposure, diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship and responsible management. Its campus includes specialized resources such as robotics and AI laboratories, Bloomberg finance facilities, behavioral and analytics labs, a large central library and extensive sports infrastructure. Internationalization is a major institutional theme, supported by a broad network of partner universities for exchanges, research and faculty collaboration. Research activity has expanded through publications, centers of excellence, funded projects, patents and international conferences. Woxsen's growth from a business school into a multidisciplinary university has been unusually rapid, with new schools and research facilities added across its first decade. WOXSEN UNIVERSITY operates within Telangana's higher-education framework and serves students from the Hyderabad region as well as learners from other parts of India. Laboratory, library, digital-learning and student-support resources complement classroom teaching and practical work across the university. Professional programs follow the standards and approval requirements of the relevant statutory or professional bodies where applicable. The university's development reflects changing expectations around employability, interdisciplinary study, innovation and technology-enabled learning.
