Monark University is a state private university at Vahelal on the Naroda-Dahegam Road in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat. Its sponsoring body, Shree Monark Education Trust, was established in 2001 by founder-chairman Mohanbharthi R. Goswami. The trust spent two decades building colleges in teacher education, engineering, business, commerce, science, physiotherapy, nursing, law, arts and computer applications before university status was created in 2021. This predecessor network is central to Monark University's identity because the university did not begin as a single new school. It brought multiple established institutions under one integrated academic framework. The present university therefore serves a wide range of professional and general disciplines while using the infrastructure, faculty experience and student-support systems accumulated by the trust's colleges.
