Mahaveer University is a state private university on Sardhana Road in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It was established under Uttar Pradesh Legislature Act No. 08 of 2023 and is sponsored by New Tuples Educational Society. The university's statutory creation placed a broad group of professional and general academic disciplines within one university framework in western Uttar Pradesh. Its multidisciplinary faculties include agricultural science, arts and humanities, Ayurveda, allied and healthcare sciences, commerce and management, computer applications, education, engineering and technology, legal studies, library science, nursing, pharmacy, science, naturopathy and yogic sciences. Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral routes are supported across different faculties. A research and development cell coordinates research support, while laboratories, central facilities and student services provide the infrastructure for academic work. Healthcare is an important part of Mahaveer University's profile. The university ecosystem includes Mahaveer Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, creating opportunities for clinical and practice-oriented education alongside conventional programmes. Because the university itself is recent, its formal history is defined primarily by the 2023 statutory transition and the subsequent consolidation of multiple faculties, research systems and professional facilities under the university structure. The campus is located on Sardhana Road in Meerut within western Uttar Pradesh's NCR-linked education corridor. Research-development phase — A Research and Development Cell was established to support projects and academic research. Initial academic phase — Multiple professional and general disciplines were brought under the university structure. Current phase — Mahaveer University continues building a multidisciplinary private-university system in western Uttar Pradesh. Campus-development phase — Central facilities, laboratories, residential support and student services expanded at Meerut. Uttar Pradesh legislation provided for the establishment of Mahaveer University in Meerut. July 2023 — The university's establishment was notified under the state's private-university framework.
