T S Mishra University Summary
T. S. Mishra University is a state private university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, established in 2023 and developed from the healthcare-education ecosystem built around T. S. Misra Medical College and Hospital. The university is located opposite Amausi Railway Station near Lucknow airport and is named in memory of Justice Tribeni Sahai Misra, a former judge and public figure whose commitment to education inspired the sponsoring family. The university was approved under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019 through a 2023 amendment and commenced operations after the state issued its letter of permission on 11 September 2023. Existing institutions on the campus in medicine, nursing, paramedical sciences, pharmacy and rehabilitation became constituent parts of the new university from the 2023-24 session. The university has since widened its academic scope through schools in business management, nursing, allied and healthcare sciences, pharmacy, rehabilitation and other professional fields. Medical and health-science education remains central because teaching is closely connected with the existing medical college, hospital, laboratories and patient-care infrastructure. The allied-health portfolio includes areas such as medical laboratory technology, radiological imaging, physiotherapy, optometry, operation-theatre technology and forensic science. The campus extends across a large site and provides lecture halls, laboratories, library, clinical facilities, hostels and other student infrastructure. The institution emphasizes practical training, research, ethical conduct and professional readiness across healthcare and non-health programs. Its Lucknow location provides direct access to a major healthcare, government, legal and education center in Uttar Pradesh. The institution's Lucknow location also shapes the professional, cultural and community networks available to students. Academic development since 2023 has included continued work on curriculum, governance, student support and institutional partnerships. Professional programs remain subject to the approvals and standards of the relevant statutory or regulatory bodies where required. Library, digital-learning and student-support systems complement the university's teaching and practical-learning environment.
