Gondwana University is a state public university headquartered at Gadchiroli in eastern Maharashtra. It was established by the Government of Maharashtra on 27 September 2011 to provide a dedicated university structure for the Gadchiroli–Chandrapur region and surrounding areas with significant tribal populations. The institution combines postgraduate teaching and research with a substantial affiliating role for colleges across its jurisdiction.
