JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Registration Advisory: DigiLocker Re-KYC and Details to Check
The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a registration advisory for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 on October 28. It asks applicants to use their own identity-account credentials, complete DigiLocker re-KYC before filling in the form and ensure their name and date of birth match their Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
The advisory is intended to help candidates avoid identity-verification and biometric-data discrepancies during later stages. NTA advises applicants to sign in using their own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan (MeriPehchaan) credentials. It also recommends completing re-KYC through DigiLocker before starting the application so the latest details can be fetched.

What candidates should do before applying
- Use an identity account that belongs to you: DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan (MeriPehchaan).
- Complete DigiLocker re-KYC before beginning the JEE Main application, as advised by NTA.
- Check that your name and date of birth match your Class 10 certificate or marksheet.
- Keep your registered email address and mobile number accessible; NTA says application communications will be sent to the details entered in the form.
- Submit only one application form. NTA states that multiple applications are not permitted.
- Apply through the JEE Main official website and complete the fee transaction before the stated deadline.
Re-KYC is an identity-information update step; it does not replace the JEE Main application. Candidates should complete both the verification preparation and the online examination form. If a mismatch appears in identity details or the Class 10 record, resolve it before submission where possible. Do not enter a different spelling or date of birth simply to make the application proceed.
Exam and application information
JEE Main 2027 will be held in two sessions: Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April. The Session 1 application is currently open through the NTA portal. Candidates may apply for Session 1 now; NTA says a separate opportunity will be provided for Session 2, with its application notice to follow.
Applicants should review the information bulletin for eligibility, paper details, fees and other requirements, and keep checking official NTA updates in case of a new notice or schedule change.
