RKDF University Ranchi is a private university in Jharkhand established in 2018 and sponsored by Ayushmati Education and Social Society. It represents the Jharkhand expansion of the RKDF education group, whose institutional history in central India began in the 1990s. The group identifies 1994 as the start of its higher-education journey with a private engineering college in Bhopal and later developed a large network of institutions and universities across professional disciplines. The Ranchi university was created to extend that education model to Jharkhand and operates as a multidisciplinary institution. Its academic scope includes engineering and technology, management, sciences, commerce, humanities, agriculture, education and other professional areas. The university's official history links its foundation to a broader RKDF network that had already established universities in Madhya Pradesh before the Ranchi project. RKDF University Ranchi is included under the UGC Section 2(f) framework according to its institutional disclosures. Its campus and governance structure are designed to support teaching, research, skill development and community-oriented higher education. The university therefore combines a relatively recent 2018 statutory identity with the longer experience of its sponsoring education group. This distinction is important: the university itself is new, while the institutional expertise behind it was built over several decades through colleges and universities serving central and eastern India.
