Gyanmanjari Innovative University is a state private university in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, established in 2023. The university is sponsored by Gyanmudra Education Foundation, a Section 8 company formed in 2014 to promote education in engineering, pharmacy, management, technology, science and related fields. The university's Bhavnagar campus builds on the longer Gyanmanjari education network, which had already developed a local reputation before university status. The Government of Gujarat established the university under the Gujarat Private Universities framework through Gujarat Act No. 7 of 2023, with the relevant Gazette notification dated 21 April 2023. Its statutory objects are broad, covering science, technology, humanities, social sciences, education, management, commerce, law, pharmacy, healthcare and other fields, together with research, professional education and skill development. Gyanmanjari places unusually strong emphasis on industry-oriented teaching. Its public academic material describes a Proficient Learning Method, field visits, expert talks, research-based projects, industry exposure, startup support and practical learning. Student innovation is also supported through activities associated with the Student Startup and Innovation Policy ecosystem. The university's constituent academic units include technical and professional programmes as well as arts, commerce and other multidisciplinary study.
