JEE Main 2027 Registration Begins for Session 1; Apply by November 22
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened online registration for JEE Main 2027 Session 1. Candidates can apply through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, from October 24 to November 22, 2026, until 11:50 p.m. The NTA has also announced the January examination dates and subsequent application milestones.
JEE Main Paper 1 is used for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes such as B.E. and B.Tech. Paper 2A is for B.Arch, while Paper 2B is for B.Planning. Paper 1 also serves as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced. Candidates should consult the 2027 information bulletin for detailed eligibility rules, fees, document specifications and paper requirements before submitting an application.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2027
- Go to the official JEE Main website and open the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application link.
- Register using your own or a parent’s or guardian’s email address and mobile number.
- Complete the application form with accurate personal and academic details, and select the relevant paper.
- Upload the documents and images in the format specified in the information bulletin.
- Pay the examination fee online and submit the form.
- Download and retain the confirmation page and payment receipt.
The NTA says candidates must submit the form online and should submit only one application. Keep login details safe and use the correction window, if needed, in line with the instructions published by the agency.
Session 1 and Session 2
JEE Main 2027 is planned in two sessions: Session 1 in January and Session 2 in April. The current application window is for Session 1 only. NTA says candidates will have a separate opportunity to apply for Session 2, with a later notice providing its application details. Candidates interested in Session 2 should wait for that official announcement.
