PARUL UNIVERSITY Summary
Parul University is a private multidisciplinary university at Limda near Vadodara, Gujarat, formally established in 2015 under the Gujarat Private Universities framework. Its roots extend well before university status through Parul Arogya Seva Mandal, the charitable trust that began its education and social-service journey in 1989. The trust's first higher-education institution opened in 1993, and the network subsequently expanded across Vadodara, Rajkot and other locations before consolidation into the university structure. The university now spans a broad academic spectrum including medicine, engineering, pharmacy, law, agriculture, design, management, commerce, computer applications, physiotherapy, homoeopathy, nursing, fine arts and allied fields. This diversity reflects the 2008–2012 expansion period when institutions across several professional disciplines were added to the group's academic base. Parul University is recognized by the UGC and operates as a unitary state private university. Its campus environment combines teaching, laboratories, hospitals and professional training facilities with research, innovation and international engagement. University status in 2015 marked a major transition from a federation of professional colleges to an integrated degree-granting institution. The university later received NAAC A++ accreditation in its first assessment cycle and has developed graded autonomy within the UGC framework. Its institutional identity therefore rests on three linked phases: the charitable trust and early college period, rapid multidisciplinary growth before 2015, and a university phase focused on academic integration, quality assurance, research and wider national and international visibility. Parul Arogya Seva Mandal began its charitable education journey in 1989. The trust's first higher-education institution opened in 1993. The education network expanded to Vadodara and Rajkot before university formation. The university is recognized by the UGC as a state private university. Its academic structure covers more than twenty faculties and schools. Medicine, engineering, pharmacy, law, agriculture and design are major professional areas. Healthcare education is supported by university-linked clinical facilities.
