Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences (Magdeburg-Stendal UAS) Summary
This master file is a portfolio of the course portfolio of 13 undergraduate entries and 11 postgraduate entries. Where subject combinations are appropriate, these have been consolidated into parent degrees. Undergraduate examples include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Water Management, Safety and Hazard Defense, Recycling and Waste Management, and later entries include Health Promotion and Management, Childhood Studies, Rehabilitation Psychology. Postgraduate studies offer Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Engineering, Interaction Design, Journalism and Media Management, Social Work, Rehabilitation Psychology, Sustainable Business Management and Language and Communication in Organizations. Each course is still a parent qualification, and the specializations are listed within the course entry rather than being incorrectly listed as separate degrees. Dual, cooperative, online, part-time, and practice-integrated variants are retained within the relevant parent qualification and not counted as separate degrees.
Admission is controlled at the program level. Candidates can follow the university portal route illustrated for the specific course; many overseas qualifications are initially processed via uni-assist and some media, design, dual and continuing courses require additional proof or have different closing dates. Applicants should check the language of instruction, semester of admission, subject prerequisites, selection procedure and document route before submission. International school or university qualifications may require external evaluation, certified translations, APS documentation for applicable countries or additional evidence of academic equivalence. Master’s committees may ask you to provide module descriptions, portfolios, writing samples, professional experience or attend an interview. Admission to a doctorate is separate from admission to a bachelors or masters degree . Normally to be admitted to a doctorate you need to have a viable research proposal , eligible supervision and formal acceptance by the relevant faculty .

If provided for by relevant law or program regulation, special tuition may apply to continuing-education, distance-learning, joint, second-degree or long-term study formats. Funding may be available through BAföG for eligible students, the Deutschlandstipendium, DAAD and Erasmus+ mobility funding, Foundations, Research employment or university specific awards. However, each funding application is assessed independently from admission.
Career preparation reflects the subject mix of the university and is not a guarantyd placement scheme. Students can boost their professional readiness via internships, applied projects, research assistantships, employer events, language development, entrepreneurship services, international mobility and an externally partnered thesis.
