What applicants should check
A world ranking can help students compare institutions, but it does not determine admission eligibility, entrance-exam requirements, course quality in a particular subject, fees or placement outcomes. Before applying, check the university’s official College Admissions page for the current programme, eligibility rules, application deadlines, fees, scholarships and accepted entrance scores. Compare subject-specific rankings where relevant, and review the course curriculum and campus facilities directly with the institution.
QS and India’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) use different methodologies and categories. NIRF publishes separate lists for universities, engineering, colleges and other fields, so its positions should not be treated as interchangeable with QS global ranks. Use rankings as one input alongside course fit, location, affordability and career goals.
