NEET PG 2026 DNB Round 1 Cutoff: Seat Matrix and Closing Ranks
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the final DNB PG seat matrix for NEET PG Counselling 2026 and the Round 1 final allotment result dated October 24. Candidates can use these official files to check available DNB seats and identify the last allotted All India Rank for a particular specialty, institute and category. MCC has not published a separate branch-wise closing-rank summary in the material reviewed; closing ranks should be read from the allotment result itself.
A cutoff can mean either the NEET PG qualifying cutoff score or the closing rank for a counselling seat. These are different figures. The qualifying cutoff sets the minimum eligibility to participate. A Round 1 closing rank is the highest AIR, numerically, among candidates allotted a specific seat in that round. It can vary by specialty, hospital, category and quota, and may change in later rounds.

How to find a DNB closing rank
- Download the final Round 1 allotment result from MCC.
- Filter the result for the DNB course or specialty, institute and allotted category or quota relevant to your comparison.
- Compare the All India Ranks for the matching seat type. The last allotted rank is the Round 1 closing rank for that specific combination.
- Check the final seat matrix to confirm the seat and category details. Do not compare unlike specialties, institutes or categories as if they shared one cutoff.
Round 1 closing ranks are historical counselling data, not a guarantee of a seat in Round 2. Seat availability can change after candidates join, resign or upgrade, and subsequent allotments depend on the revised matrix and candidate choices. Use the official result and matrix together, and confirm any discrepancy or revised seat information through MCC notices.
