Rishihood University is a private residential university in Sonipat, Haryana, established under the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2020. The University Grants Commission records 4 May 2020 as the date of establishment or gazette notification. The institution was created by Rishihood Foundation, a Section 8 nonprofit organization, and grew from an earlier nation-building education initiative founded by Shobhit Mathur and Sahil Aggarwal. The university's story traces back to 2014, when the Vision India Foundation was launched with a focus on public leadership and national development. Over the following years, the founders developed education programs that connected leadership, policy, entrepreneurship and societal impact. Rishihood University was formally inaugurated in 2021 and launched full-time residential degree programs and doctoral study from its Sonipat campus. The campus extends across about 25 acres on NH-44 in the Delhi NCR region.
