K M KRISHNA MOHAN UNIVERSITY Summary
K.M. (Krishna Mohan) University is a state private university at Pali Dungra on Sonkh Road in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2023 through amendment of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019. A UGC communication records that the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2023 established the university with effect from 28 June 2023, and the state legislation identifies Shri Mohan Singh Shiksha Sansthan as the sponsoring body. The university operates from a campus of more than forty acres and has developed a multidisciplinary structure. University leadership material describes nine faculties and twenty-nine departments, with teaching and research across physical sciences, life sciences, computer science, humanities and social sciences, law, engineering and technology, management and commerce, literature and languages and other fields. This gives K.M. University a broader academic identity than a single professional college or specialist institution. The university's history is comparatively recent and therefore centered on its statutory creation and institutional build-out. The June 2023 legal amendment created the university, an August notification documented the legislative change, and the UGC subsequently included the university in its Section 2(f) list. The institution then developed faculties, departments, research activity and campus governance within the new framework. Its Mathura location and sponsoring society give it a regional role in expanding private multidisciplinary higher education, while its research agenda spans scientific, technical, legal, management and humanities subjects. The university's campus is located away from central Mathura on Sonkh Road, creating a dedicated higher-education setting. Its nine-faculty structure supports both professional education and conventional academic research disciplines. Included by UGC in the list of universities maintained under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. Current phase — K.M. University continues building multidisciplinary teaching and research from its Pali Dungra campus in Mathura.
