Flensburg University of Applied Sciences (Flensburg UAS) Summary
This master file is the course portfolio and has 13 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate entries with subject combinations grouped under their parent degrees where appropriate. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Energy Systems, Renewable Energy Engineering, Marine Engineering, Ship Operations Engineering, Applied Computer Science (undergraduate) International Technical Communication, eHealth, Digital Business (subsequent entries). The postgraduate programs are: Systems Engineering, Wind Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Biotechnology and Process Engineering, Business Management, International Technical Communication, eHealth and Maritime Engineering. Each course remains a parent qualification with specializations captured within the course entry, not morphed into separate degrees. Dual, cooperative, online, part-time, and practice-integrated variants are retained within the relevant parent qualification and not counted as separate degrees.
Admission is at the program level. Applicants apply via the HISinOne portal; international qualifications follow the university’s route and dual, maritime or graduate programs may require additional documents, practical evidence or discipline-specific requirements. Please check the language of instruction, semester of entry, subject prerequisites, selection process and document route before applying. International school or university qualifications may require external evaluation, certified translations, APS documentation for applicable countries or additional evidence of academic equivalence. Master’s committees may ask you to provide module descriptions, portfolios, writing samples, professional experience or attend an interview. Admission to a bachelor’s or master’s program is different from doctoral entry. Doctoral entry normally requires a viable research proposal, eligible supervision and formal acceptance by the responsible faculty.
There is no general tuition for regular degree study. The semester contribution for the winter semester 2026/27 is €392.00, made up of student-services, student-body, Germany semester ticket and administration components. You will be charged an extra fee of €30 for late re-registration. These institutional charges do not include rent, health insurance, food, learning materials, residence formalities, project costs or personal travel. If provided for by relevant law or program regulation, special tuition may apply to continuing-education, distance-learning, joint, second-degree or long-term study formats. Funding may be available through BAföG for eligible students, the Deutschlandstipendium, DAAD and Erasmus+ mobility funding, Foundations, Research employment or university specific awards. However, each funding application is assessed independently from admission.
Career preparation is a reflection of the subject mix of the university and is not a guarantyd placement scheme. The applied settings are made available by wind-energy developers, maritime companies, manufacturers, software companies, hospitals, consultancies, logistics companies and Danish-German employers. Internships, applied projects, research assistantships, employer events, language development, entrepreneurship services, international mobility and externally partnered thesis help students improve their professional readiness. undefined
