JEE Main 2027 Registration Changes: MeriPehchaan Login and Key Dates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced MeriPehchaan as the single sign-on gateway for JEE Main 2027 registration. Candidates begin registration through the platform, which connects identity services including DigiLocker, JanParichay and e-Pramaan. The change affects how applicants access the form; it does not change the JEE Main examination or decide admission. Candidates should follow the live portal and information bulletin instructions for their account and document checks.
What Is New in JEE Main 2027 Registration?
| Registration feature | JEE Main 2027 requirement or detail |
|---|---|
| Initial registration | Starts through the MeriPehchaan single sign-on service |
| Connected identity services | DigiLocker, JanParichay and e-Pramaan |
| Available eKYC methods | Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or APAAR |
| Details for later logins | System-generated application number and candidate-created password |
| Live photograph | Required during form filling, in addition to a scanned photograph |
MeriPehchaan lets users access integrated services through one sign-in. It is not limited to Aadhaar or DigiLocker: candidates can use one of the listed identity providers and follow the verification options available to them. After the initial identity step, applicants receive a JEE Main application number and create a password to continue the form and return to their account.
JEE Main 2027 Session 1 Dates
| Event | Date |

| Application window without late fee | October 24–November 22, 2026 |
| Application window with late fee | November 23–26, 2026 |
| Correction window | November 27–29, 2026 |
| Session 1 examination | January 20–24 and January 28, 2027 |
The late application fee is an additional ₹500 on top of the applicable examination fee. The correction period is limited to fields NTA enables for editing, so candidates should review their details carefully before submission.
Documents to Prepare
NTA’s information bulletin lists a live photograph and scanned photograph, signature and Class 10 certificate or marksheet among the application requirements. A disability or UDID certificate is required where applicable; foreign nationals, including OCI candidates, must upload a non-Indian passport. The bulletin specifies a JPG/JPEG format for the scanned photo and signature, and PDF format for certificates. Check the portal for current file-size limits before uploading.
How to Complete the Form
Open the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application page and select new registration. Complete the MeriPehchaan sign-in and verification steps, then note the application number and create a password. Fill in the remaining personal, academic and examination details, upload the required files, pay the examination fee and download the confirmation page. The application is confirmed only after successful fee payment.
Use an email address and mobile number you can access, save your application number and password securely, and check that your confirmation page is generated. These steps help candidates complete the new JEE Main registration process and track later notices in their account.
