Arunodaya University Summary
Arunodaya University is a state private university located at Lekhi Village, Naharlagun, in the Itanagar region of Arunachal Pradesh. It was established through the Arunodaya University Arunachal Pradesh Act, 2014, Act No. 13 of 2014. The Act received the Governor’s assent on October 17, 2014 and was published in the Arunachal Pradesh Gazette on October 21, 2014. The university is included under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and has degree-awarding authority subject to the applicable statutory framework. The university was conceived as a multidisciplinary institution combining conventional academic study with practical exposure. Its founding objectives cover business and management, engineering and technology, computing, entrepreneurship, rural development, media and communication, sciences, humanities, law, performing arts and other professional areas. Arunodaya describes its teaching approach as a blend of classroom instruction, interactive learning, case studies, projects, internships, educational tours, conferences and research activity. Its academic portfolio includes certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral study. The campus infrastructure includes academic blocks, an auditorium, sports facilities, hostels, mess facilities, staff accommodation and internet connectivity. The university has also developed formal recognition links beyond its founding legislation. It received provisional membership of the Association of Indian Universities in March 2020, while its law programmes have obtained approval from the Bar Council of India. Annual reporting and public disclosure systems document the institution’s governance, academic development and regulatory position. Located in Arunachal Pradesh’s capital-region corridor, Arunodaya University serves students from a state where access, distance and terrain can strongly influence higher-education choices, making its multidisciplinary and residential character particularly relevant. Arunodaya also maintains public-disclosure and regulatory pages for statutes, approvals and institutional committees. Its academic system combines classroom instruction with practical exposure, skill development and professional preparation, while the Naharlagun location gives students access to the wider Itanagar capital region and its administrative and economic networks.
