G.S. University is a state private university in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, established in 2024 under the Uttar Pradesh private-university framework. The university is sponsored by Sri Jaipal Singh Sharma Trust and operates from the Pilkhuwa area on NH-9 near the railway station. Its strongest institutional foundation is a pre-existing healthcare-education ecosystem built around G.S. Medical College and Hospital. G.S. Medical College and Hospital received permission for its first MBBS intake in 2017 and later expanded its medical capacity. The college was initially affiliated with other state universities before becoming affiliated with G.S. University from the 2024-25 academic year. The wider campus also supports Ayurveda, nursing, pharmacy and hospital-based professional education, giving the new university a pronounced health-sciences identity. The statutory creation occurred through amendment of Schedule 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019. State legislation identified G.S.
