AKS University is a private university in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, established under Act No. 44 of 2011 of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The institution was promoted by the Rajiv Gandhi Group of Institutions, whose educational activity in the Vindhya region predates the university by more than a decade. That earlier network created a foundation in computing, science, commerce, management, pharmacy and professional education before the transition to university status. The group’s documented history includes the establishment of Rajiv Gandhi Computer College in Satna in 1996, followed by Rajiv Gandhi College in 2000 and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy in 2006.
