Postgraduate studies include Applied Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Management and Marketing, Product and Asset Management, Intercultural Business Psychology, Product Development and Business Studies, Environmental and Hazardous Substance Analysis, Technical Consulting and Management, Business Administration, Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Each course still counts as a parent qualification and specialisations are recorded within the course entry rather than being misrepresented as separate degrees. Admission controls are at program level. Applicants apply through Campus Office Online; most international qualifications are reviewed via uni-assist and the English-taught Electronic Engineering bachelor’s course has its own international deadline and language route. Before applying, applicants should check the language of instruction, semester of entry, subject prerequisites, selection process and the document route. International School or University Qualifications External evaluation, certified translations, APS documentation where applicable or other proof of academic equivalence may be required. Master’s committees may ask for module descriptions, portfolios, writing samples, professional experience, or interviews. Entry to a doctorate is separate from the admissions process for a bachelor’s or master’s degree and normally requires a viable research proposal, suitable supervision arrangements and formal approval from the relevant faculty.
There is no tuition for regular degree studies at HSHL. The semester contribution for the winter semester 2026/27 is €362.80, including €110 for Studierendenwerk, €226.80 for the Germany semester ticket and €26 for the student body. These institutional costs do not include rent, health insurance, food, learning materials, residence formalities, project costs and personal travel. Special tuition may be applied in the case of continuing-education, distance-learning, joint, second-degree or long-term study formats, if provided for by the relevant law or program regulation. Funding may include BAföG for eligible students, the Deutschlandstipendium, DAAD and Erasmus+ mobility support, foundations, research employment or university-specific awards, but each funding application is assessed independently from admission.
Career preparation is not a guarantyd placement scheme, but is a reflection of the subject mix of the university. Students may improve their professional readiness through internships, applied projects, research assistantships, employer events, language development, entrepreneurship services, international mobility and an externally partnered thesis.
