Al-Falah University Summary
Al-Falah University is a private university located at Dhauj in Faridabad district, Haryana. It was established by the Haryana Legislative Assembly under Act No. 21 of 2014 and was notified on 2 May 2014. The university developed from an earlier education network whose major professional initiative, Al-Falah School of Engineering and Technology, began in 1997. This predecessor history gives the university a longer academic presence than its formal university status suggests. The 1997 engineering school started with undergraduate programs in mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and computer science and engineering. During the following years, its campus and academic activity expanded. An Al-Falah Health Centre was established at Dhauj in 1999, adding a healthcare dimension to the group’s work. The first engineering batch graduated in 2001, and later development broadened the institution into health sciences, education, paramedical studies, physical sciences and other professional areas. Al-Falah University today includes engineering and technology, medical and health sciences, paramedical education, education and training, sciences, management and related disciplines. The university is recognized within the UGC framework and operates professional programs under the requirements of relevant regulators. Its Dhauj campus lies near the Aravalli foothills and extends across a large green area. A major component of the university ecosystem is Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences and Research Centre and its associated hospital. Clinical facilities support medical and allied-health teaching, while other schools provide technical, scientific and professional education. The institution therefore combines campus-based university study with hospital-linked training. The university’s development reflects a transition from a specialist engineering institution founded in the late 1990s to a multidisciplinary private university established in 2014. Its identity remains strongly professional, with engineering, healthcare and applied education forming the core of its academic profile while the broader university structure supports research, postgraduate study and additional disciplines.
