What Happened?

The UPSC conducted the CDS 1 examination earlier this year to recruit eligible candidates into the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers Training Academy. After the written exams and subsequent evaluation, the commission has now declared the final merit list based on candidates’ performance and eligibility criteria.

This final result announcement confirms the names of candidates who have cleared the written examination and are eligible to appear for the next phase, which generally involves the SSB interviews and medical examinations. The official merit list includes candidate roll numbers, marks scored, and category-wise cutoffs.

Students who have qualified can prepare for the upcoming SSB interviews, which test their personality, leadership qualities, and suitability for a career in defense services.

Why This Update Matters

This update is crucial for CDS aspirants as it marks the transition from written exams to the interview stage. Clearing the written test is the first and most important step towards a career in the Indian Armed Forces through the CDS route.

For candidates, knowing their final status helps in planning their preparation for the SSB interviews, arranging necessary documents, and scheduling medical tests. It also provides clarity on their chances of selection and helps them stay informed about the recruitment timeline.

Official Status

The final results have been officially released by UPSC and are accessible on the commission’s official website. Candidates are advised to rely only on the official UPSC portal for authentic information and avoid unofficial sources.

Official confirmation and detailed merit lists can be found at https://upsc.gov.in. No offline results will be sent to candidates, so checking online is mandatory.
