UNOM April 2026 Regular Results
The University of Madras had released different April 2026 regular examination results before the revaluation announcement.
For example, the university's result pages show that the April 2026 UG examination results for up to the fourth semester and arrear candidates were published on July 31, 2026.
The university had also published PG/Professional examination results on July 24, 2026, while April 2026 UG fifth- and sixth-semester results had been published earlier.
The newly released August 25 result is specifically for revaluation of final-semester examinations.
What Does Revaluation Mean?
Revaluation gives eligible students an opportunity to have their examination answer scripts reassessed according to the university's prescribed rules.
Students who believed their original marks did not reflect their performance could apply within the specified application window.
After completing the process, the university publishes the revised result.

UNOM Revaluation Application 2026
For relevant April 2026 results, the University of Madras had provided a revaluation application window through affiliated colleges.
The university's earlier result notice stated that eligible candidates could apply for revaluation from August 3 to August 8, 2026, with a revaluation fee of Rs 1,000 per paper under the stated university norms.
Students who applied during the applicable process can now check the released result.
What If Marks Change After Revaluation?
If the revaluation process results in revised marks, students should follow the university's instructions regarding incorporation of those marks into their academic record.
Students in their final semester should pay particular attention because revised marks can affect:
- Final semester performance
- Overall result status
- Degree completion
- Higher-education applications
- Employment documentation
- Provisional certificate requirements
- Other academic records
Students should rely on the final documents issued by the university for official purposes.
Is the Online Result the Final Marksheet?
Students should distinguish between an online result and the university-issued final marksheet.
The University of Madras states on its regular online result facility that web-published results are provisional and that the final marksheets issued by the university should be treated as authentic and final.
Therefore, students should use the online revaluation result for immediate information while following the university or their college's instructions regarding updated official records.
What If Marks Do Not Change?
Revaluation does not guarantee an increase in marks.
If the marks displayed after revaluation remain unchanged, students should not assume that the portal has failed. The revaluation process may conclude without a change to the original score.
Students who have questions about their academic records should contact their affiliated college or the University of Madras through the appropriate official procedure.
