Students should later obtain the official marksheet/certificate according to the procedure announced by PSEB and their school.
Do not discard existing board documents after receiving a supplementary result.
What Is the PSEB Compartment Examination?
A compartment or re-appear examination provides eligible students another opportunity to clear subjects they could not successfully complete during the main examination cycle.
Instead of automatically losing an entire academic year, eligible students can appear in the supplementary examination.
This is why the result is particularly important for students waiting to continue their education.
Supplementary vs Compartment vs Re-Appear: What Is the Difference?
These terms are often used interchangeably by students, but PSEB notices may use particular terminology depending on the candidate category.
Supplementary Examination
Broad term for the additional examination session.
Compartment / Re-Appear
Generally refers to students appearing again in an eligible subject they need to clear.
Additional Subject
Used where eligible candidates appear in an additional subject under Board rules.
DIC
A separate examination category appearing in the official supplementary examination schedule.
Students should check the result corresponding to their exact examination category.
PSEB Class 10 Compartment Result 2026
Students searching for:
Punjab Board 10th compartment result
PSEB 10th supplementary result
Punjab Board 10th re-appear result

PSEB Class 12 Compartment Result 2026
Likewise, searches such as:
Punjab Board 12th compartment result
PSEB 12th supplementary result
PSEB Senior Secondary re-appear result
Punjab Board +2 supplementary result
refer to the Senior Secondary supplementary examination cycle.
This article should cover all these search variations.
PSEB Supplementary Result 2026 Passing Marks
Students must satisfy the applicable Punjab Board passing requirements in the subject or examination category for which they appeared.
The precise pass criteria may vary depending on:
Subject
Theory component
Practical component
Candidate category
Examination rules
Students should use the official result as the final confirmation of whether they have passed.
How Many Marks Are Needed to Pass PSEB Supplementary Exam?
Students frequently search for a fixed passing number.
However, it is safer to check the applicable subject-wise board rules because some subjects can include separate theory and practical requirements.
Do not assume that an overall percentage alone determines the result.
What Happens if I Pass PSEB Supplementary Exam?
If you successfully clear the required examination, your academic status can be updated according to PSEB rules.
Students may then continue with:
Class 10 Candidates
Class 11 admission
Stream selection
Diploma courses
Vocational education

College admission
Undergraduate courses
Diploma programmes
Entrance-based admissions
Competitive examinations
Skill programmes
Candidates should complete admission formalities immediately if deadlines are approaching.

Yes, provided:
You clear Class 12.
You satisfy the course's eligibility criteria.
The college is still accepting students or permits delayed document submission.
Seats remain available.
You meet other entrance or merit requirements.
Students should contact their target institution now if admission is already underway.
What If College Admission Closes Before PSEB Result?
Do not automatically assume that you have lost the admission.
Contact the university or college and ask whether it offers:
Provisional admission
Late document submission
Updated marksheet upload
Supplementary-result window
Admission deadline extension
Policies differ significantly between institutions.
Try to obtain written confirmation where possible.
What Happens if I Fail the Supplementary Exam?
Students who do not clear the supplementary examination should check their next available opportunity under PSEB rules.
Possible routes depend on:
Class
Subject
Candidate category
Number of previous attempts
Board regulations
Do not rely on old rules from previous academic sessions without checking current PSEB notifications.
Can I Appear Again After Failing the Compartment Exam?
Possibly, depending on the applicable Board regulations.
Students should check PSEB's subsequent examination schedule and eligibility rules.
The next permissible attempt can vary by candidate type.
PSEB Additional Subject Result 2026
The official July 2026 examination schedule also includes Additional Subject candidates.
These students should ensure they select the correct result category.
An additional-subject result should not automatically be confused with a compartment result.
PSEB DIC Result 2026
DIC candidates are also included within the supplementary examination framework referred to in the Board's July 2026 notices.
Students should check the exact result category published by PSEB after declaration.
PSEB Supplementary Result 2026 by Name

If the website does not load:
Wait a few minutes.

Avoid repeatedly submitting the form.
Try again after traffic reduces.

PSEB Supplementary Result 2026 Rechecking
Students dissatisfied with their marks may search for:
PSEB supplementary rechecking
PSEB compartment rechecking
Punjab Board result verification
PSEB re-evaluation
Candidates should wait for the Board's official post-result notification regarding any available facility.
Do not assume that the dates or fees from the main examination automatically apply to the supplementary result.
PSEB Re-Evaluation 2026
If PSEB provides a re-evaluation or result-review mechanism for supplementary candidates, students should check:
Eligibility
Subjects allowed
Application dates
Fees
Application portal
Result timeline
This page should be updated when an official notification is issued.
Can Supplementary Marks Increase After Rechecking?
Marks can change only according to the result of the official review mechanism.
Students should not assume that applying for rechecking guarantees an increase.
Always read the applicable rules first.
PSEB Supplementary Result 2026 Original Marksheet
Students will eventually need the updated official academic document.
The Board/school should provide instructions regarding physical marksheets or certificates after the result.
Class 12 students should obtain the updated document before final university document verification wherever possible.
Is Supplementary Marksheet Different From Regular Marksheet?
Students commonly worry that having appeared for a supplementary exam will make their qualification invalid.
Passing through an officially conducted Board supplementary examination does not make the qualification unofficial.
The student's final academic documents will reflect the outcome according to Board rules.
Is PSEB Supplementary Result Valid for Government Jobs?
An officially recognized Punjab Board qualification can be used subject to the eligibility requirements of the specific recruitment.
Candidates must satisfy:
Required class
Required subjects
Minimum percentage, if any
Age requirements
Other recruitment conditions
A supplementary examination does not automatically disqualify a candidate from government recruitment.
Is PSEB Compartment Result Valid for College Admission?
An officially issued updated result can be used for admission where the candidate satisfies the institution's eligibility requirements and deadline.
Colleges primarily look at whether the student holds the required recognized qualification.
However, admission conditions vary by institution.
PSEB Supplementary Result and CUET Admission
Class 12 candidates applying through CUET should check their target university's admission eligibility and document-upload deadline.
The supplementary result may be relevant for:
Minimum Class 12 eligibility
Subject requirements
Document verification
Final admission confirmation
CUET score alone does not override a university's Class 12 eligibility requirement.
PSEB Supplementary Result and Engineering Admission
Students applying for engineering should check:
Class 12 subject requirements
Minimum marks
Entrance exam eligibility
Counseling deadline
If your supplementary result changes your eligibility status, contact the counselling authority as soon as the result is released.
PSEB Class 10 Students: What to Do After Result
Class 10 students who clear the examination should move quickly toward Class 11 admission.
Important decisions include:
Science
Commerce
Humanities
Vocational stream
Diploma route
Students should discuss subject choices with their school rather than selecting a stream solely on marks or peer pressure.
PSEB Class 12 Students: What to Do After Result
Class 12 students should immediately focus on:
Downloading marksheet
Checking college eligibility
Updating admission portals
Uploading revised marks
Completing document verification
