JNU UG Admission 2026: First Merit List Released, Seat Blocking Schedule Announced
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has officially released the First Merit List for Undergraduate (UG) Admissions 2026 through the CUET UG 2026 admission process. Candidates who registered for admission to BA (Hons.), B.Sc., and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) programmes can now check their admission status on the official JNU admission portal. Selected candidates must complete the pre-enrolment registration, seat blocking and fee payment within the prescribed timeline to confirm their admission. According to the official schedule, seat blocking and fee payment for the first merit list will be conducted from August 3 to August 6, 2026.
Admission to JNU's undergraduate programmes is based on CUET UG 2026 scores, followed by online registration on the JNU admission portal and publication of merit lists. Candidates who fail to complete the seat-blocking process before the deadline may lose their allotted seat, which could then be offered to another eligible candidate in subsequent admission rounds.
