SBI Apprentice 2026: 6,867 Candidates Provisionally Qualify
A total of 6,867 candidates have been provisionally selected for engagement as apprentices.
This is one of the most important figures from the result announcement.
However, candidates should note that:
Provisionally Selected ≠ Final Unconditional Engagement
Selected candidates still need to satisfy any subsequent eligibility, document, language or other requirements specified by SBI.
Careers360 specifically describes the current list as containing candidates selected provisionally for engagement.
SBI Apprentice Exam Date 2026
The online examination was conducted on:
July 11, 2026
The current final result follows that examination.
Candidates whose roll numbers appear in the result will now need to complete the subsequent formalities prescribed by SBI.
What Does Provisionally Selected Mean?
A candidate appearing in the result PDF has cleared the current selection stage, but the engagement remains subject to completion of SBI’s applicable conditions.
This can include:
- Verification of eligibility
- Educational qualification checks
- Candidate identity verification
- Category documentation, where applicable
- Local language requirement, where applicable
- Medical fitness, where prescribed
- Other recruitment conditions
Candidates should therefore continue monitoring SBI’s Careers portal even after finding their roll number in the PDF.

The selection process broadly includes:

Local Language Requirement, where applicable

Final Apprentice Engagement
Candidates should rely on the official SBI recruitment notice for the exact post-result process applicable to them.
What Should Selected Candidates Do Now?
Provisionally selected candidates should first download and preserve the result PDF.
They should then keep the following documents ready:
- Application form
- Online examination details
- Class 10 certificate
- Class 12 certificate
- Graduation documents, where applicable
- Government-issued photo ID
- Category certificate, where applicable
- Local language proof, where applicable
- Passport-size photographs
- Other documents requested by SBI
The exact document list in SBI’s communication will take precedence over any general checklist.
SBI Apprentice Local Language Requirement
SBI Apprentice recruitment generally includes a requirement relating to the specified local language of the state or region for which the candidate applied.
Candidates may need to demonstrate proficiency according to SBI’s prescribed rules unless they qualify for the applicable exemption through school-level language proof.
Selected candidates should therefore keep Class 10 or Class 12 certificates showing the relevant language ready, where applicable.
Is SBI Apprentice a Permanent Job?
No.
Candidates should distinguish apprentice engagement from regular SBI recruitment for posts such as:
- Junior Associate
- Probationary Officer
- Specialist Officer
- Circle Based Officer
The Apprentice recruitment is for training/engagement under the applicable apprenticeship framework, not direct appointment to a regular permanent SBI cadre.
Candidates should carefully review the stipend, training period and engagement conditions in the official advertisement.
SBI Apprentice Result vs Merit List
The current PDF functions as a provisional selection list containing roll numbers of successful candidates.
It is commonly referred to as a merit list or final result PDF, but candidates should understand that it primarily confirms whether they have been provisionally selected.
| Result PDF | Individual Score |
|---|---|
| Contains shortlisted roll numbers | Shows candidate-specific marks, if separately released |
| Confirms provisional selection | Shows exam performance |
| Available through SBI Careers | May require separate login |
| Used for selection status | Used for score analysis |
What If Your Roll Number Is Not in the PDF?
If a candidate’s roll number does not appear in the provisional selection PDF, they should first ensure they are checking:
Correct Recruitment + Correct Result PDF + Correct Roll Number
They should not rely on unofficial screenshots or social-media lists.
If the roll number still does not appear, it generally means the candidate has not been provisionally selected in the published list.
Candidates should monitor SBI’s Careers portal for any reserve list or subsequent notice, if issued.
SBI Apprentice Result Website Not Opening?
Heavy traffic can sometimes slow the Careers portal after a result announcement.
Candidates can:
- Refresh the page after a short interval.
- Try another browser.
- Clear browser cache.
- Check the internet connection.
- Download the PDF once it opens.
- Avoid entering personal information on unofficial websites.
