Rajasthan NEET Merit List 2026: Provisional or Final?
Candidates should note that the current merit-list stage is part of the Round 1 counselling process.
The detailed counselling information identifies the provisional merit list, while Shiksha reports that a revised provisional merit list is scheduled for August 20, 2026.
Candidates should therefore continue checking the official counselling portal even after downloading the currently available list.
Rajasthan NEET Revised Provisional Merit List 2026
The revised provisional merit list is scheduled to be released on August 20, 2026, according to the published counselling timeline.
Candidates should check the revised list because the admission authority may incorporate applicable changes before subsequent counselling stages.
The process can broadly be understood as:
Registration → Provisional Merit List → Revised Merit List → Choice Filling → Seat Allotment → Reporting
Candidates should follow the official round-wise schedule for the definitive sequence applicable to them.
Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026 Registration
The Round 1 registration process began on August 12, 2026. The official schedule provided August 17 at 4 PM as the last date for depositing the application fee and August 17 at 8 PM for completing both parts of the online application.
Both Part 1 and Part 2 of the application were mandatory for the subsequent counselling process.
Rajasthan NEET UG Seat Matrix 2026
The provisional seat matrix was scheduled for publication on August 13, 2026, under the official Round 1 timetable.
Candidates should use the latest seat matrix when preparing their preferences because it provides information about available seats across participating institutions and categories.
The overall counselling information lists:
| Course | Seat Intake |
|---|---|
| MBBS | 5,668 |
| BDS | 1,442 |
| Total | 7,110 |
These totals provide an overall picture of the seat intake reported for Rajasthan's 2026 counselling process.
Rajasthan NEET Merit List vs NEET AIR
Candidates should not confuse their NEET All India Rank with their position in the Rajasthan admission process.
| NEET All India Rank | Rajasthan Merit Position |
|---|---|
| National-level ranking | Used for Rajasthan counselling |
| Based on NEET UG performance | Prepared for eligible counselling candidates |
| Includes candidates nationally | Limited to applicable Rajasthan counselling pool |
| Used for national admission processes | Used for Rajasthan state counselling |
| Issued through NEET result | Published by Rajasthan counselling authority |
Both pieces of information can play different roles during the admission process.
Rajasthan NEET Choice Filling 2026
Candidates included in the applicable merit list should carefully complete their college preferences according to the counselling schedule.
While filling choices, candidates should consider:
- Merit position
- NEET AIR
- Category
- Government versus private college
- Previous closing ranks
- Current seat matrix
- College fees
- Location
- MBBS versus BDS preference
- Available seat type
Candidates should arrange colleges in their actual order of preference rather than attempting to predict the allotment algorithm.
Rajasthan NEET Seat Allotment 2026
Seat allotment will consider the candidate's NEET merit, submitted preferences and applicable seat availability.
The process broadly depends on:
NEET Merit + Eligibility + Category + Choices Filled + Seat Availability + Counselling Rules
The fact that a candidate's name appears in the merit list does not guarantee an MBBS or BDS seat.
The actual institution and course offered will be determined through seat allotment.
Rajasthan NEET MBBS Admission 2026
Candidates can compete for MBBS seats across participating government and private medical colleges according to the applicable counselling framework.
Before filling preferences, candidates should compare:
- College type
- Seat type
- Tuition fee
- Previous closing rank
- Location
- Hospital exposure
- Available seats
- Category-wise availability
Candidates should particularly verify fees before adding private medical colleges to their option list.
Rajasthan NEET BDS Admission 2026
The counselling process also covers BDS admission, with 1,442 seats listed in the published counselling information.
Candidates interested in both MBBS and BDS should arrange their preferences carefully.
A student who genuinely prefers an MBBS option should normally place it above a less-preferred BDS option, subject to their individual admission priorities.
Rajasthan NEET Cutoff 2026
The merit list should not be confused with the college-wise admission cutoff.
The cutoff for a particular medical or dental college emerges through counselling and can vary according to:
- College
- Course
- Category
- Seat type
- Counselling round
- Candidate demand
- Available seats
- Upgradation
- Withdrawals
Candidates should use previous-year cutoffs only for reference because the 2026 closing ranks can change.
What After Rajasthan NEET Merit List 2026?
Candidates whose names appear in the merit list should focus on the subsequent counselling stages.
The process broadly includes:
Check Merit → Verify Candidate Details → Check Revised List → Review Seat Matrix → Complete Choices → Check Allotment → Download Allotment Letter → Report for Admission
Candidates should not miss a counselling deadline simply because their name is already included in the merit list.
What If Your Name Is Missing From Rajasthan NEET Merit List?
Candidates who expected to be included but cannot find their names should first confirm that they are checking the correct merit list.
They should then verify whether:
- Registration was completed.
- Both parts of the application were submitted.
- Registration fee was paid.
- Eligibility requirements were satisfied.
- Correct candidate details were entered.
- Required documents were submitted.
- The correct merit-list PDF is being checked.
The official Round 1 schedule explicitly states that completing both parts of the application was mandatory for the subsequent process.
Rajasthan NEET Merit List Does Not Guarantee Admission
Inclusion in the Rajasthan NEET UG merit list means the candidate can be considered in the applicable counselling process; it does not itself constitute a seat allotment.
Admission depends on factors including:
Merit Position + Category + College Choices + Seat Type + Available Seats
Candidates with a valid merit position should therefore fill a sufficiently broad and carefully ordered college preference list.
Rajasthan NEET Counselling Documents 2026
Candidates should keep applicable original documents ready for counselling and reporting, including:
- NEET UG 2026 admit card
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard
- Rajasthan counselling application
- Class 10 marksheet/certificate
- Class 12 marksheet/certificate
- Date-of-birth proof
- Valid photo ID
- Domicile-related documents, where applicable
- Category certificate, where applicable
- EWS certificate, where applicable
- PwD certificate, where applicable
