What Is MH CET Law Round 4?
Round 4 is different from the earlier centralized CAP allotment rounds. It is an institution-level admission process conducted against seats remaining vacant after completion of the regular CAP rounds.
The September 30 online merit list will be used by participating law colleges for admission to available seats. Colleges are expected to publish or display the applicable merit list through their online systems, websites or notice boards.
How to Check the Round 4 Merit List
- Visit the official Maharashtra State CET Cell or five-year LLB CAP portal.
- Open the 2026-27 admission section.
- Select the five-year integrated LLB course.
- Look for the Round 4 or Institute-Level Merit List notice.
- Check the list published for the college or colleges selected during option filling.
- Verify your name, merit position and admission instructions.
- Keep a copy of the merit information for reporting.
Who Is Considered in the Institute-Level Round?
The Round 4 process is intended primarily for candidates seeking admission against vacant seats remaining after the previous CAP rounds. Candidates were allowed to register or edit their applications and select participating colleges between September 26 and September 28.
Applicants should remember that appearance in an institute-level merit list does not by itself complete admission. Candidates must follow the concerned college's reporting and document-verification procedure within the prescribed dates.
What Happens After the Merit List?
Admission activity begins from October 1. Colleges can admit eligible candidates according to the applicable merit order, available vacancies and admission rules through October 4.
The current schedule lists October 5, 2026 as the final cutoff date for five-year LLB admissions. This gives candidates only a short period after publication of the merit list to complete admission formalities.
Documents Candidates Should Keep Ready
Candidates should keep their CET and CAP application records, academic certificates, identity documents, category or reservation documents where applicable, and other certificates required under the 2026-27 admission brochure ready for verification.
The Maharashtra CET Cell's official 2026-27 portal should remain the primary source for notices. Candidates should also monitor the website and notice board of the particular law college selected during the institute-level round because the admission itself is being handled at the institutional level.
