• ICAR rank

• Category

• University allotted

• Course allotted

• Allotment round

• Reporting instructions

• Payment details

• Admission deadline

Check all information carefully.

How Is ICAR Round 1 Seat Allotment Decided?

Seat allotment broadly depends on:

Merit Rank + Category + Course Preferences + University Preferences + Seat Availability

A high merit rank does not automatically guarantee a particular university if the candidate did not include it appropriately in the choice list.

Likewise, candidates with comparatively lower ranks may receive seats where vacancies remain available.

ICAR UG Merit Rank List 2026

The ICAR UG 2026 merit rank list was released on July 26, 2026.

Candidates could then proceed with counselling activities including choice filling and locking.

The merit rank forms the basis for the seat-allotment process.

ICAR Rank vs CUET Rank

Candidates should understand that ICAR counselling uses the applicable ICAR merit/rank framework for agriculture admissions.

Do not assume:

CUET raw score = ICAR counselling rank

The counselling merit list should be used for admission predictions.

ICAR Counselling Choice Filling 2026

Candidates were required to select their preferred:

• University

• Programme

• Course combination

during choice filling.

The order matters.

A candidate should ideally place the most preferred option first.

Can Choices Be Changed After Round 1?

Candidates should follow the current ICAR counselling rules regarding modification after an allotment.

Do not assume choices can always be edited freely after seat allocation.

Any future option-editing window should be treated as official only when ICAR announces it.

What Happens After ICAR Round 1 Seat Allotment?

Candidates who receive a seat should follow the prescribed post-allotment process.

The broad flow is:

Seat Allotment → Seat Acceptance → Upload/Verify Documents → Fee Payment → University Confirmation → Next Round / Admission

Exact steps should be checked through the candidate dashboard and counselling brochure.

ICAR Seat Acceptance 2026

A candidate receiving a seat must complete the applicable acceptance requirements within the deadline.

This may involve:

• Accepting the seat

• Paying the prescribed fee

• Uploading documents

• Completing university verification

• Choosing an upgrade option where applicable

Failure to complete mandatory actions can result in loss of the allotted seat.

Can I Upgrade My ICAR Round 1 Seat?

Candidates may have opportunities for upgradation according to ICAR counselling rules.

An upgrade means retaining eligibility for a higher-preference option in a subsequent round while dealing with the existing seat according to the counselling scheme.

The exact upgrade mechanism should be checked in the 2026 counselling brochure.

What If I Am Happy With My Round 1 Seat?

Candidates satisfied with their allotted university and programme should follow the acceptance/finalization instructions and avoid selecting an upgrade option unless they genuinely want a higher preference.

What If I Do Not Get a Seat in Round 1?

Candidates who are not allotted a seat should not assume the admission process is over.

ICAR is conducting:

• Round 1

• Round 2

• Round 3

• Round 4

• Mop-Up / Final Round

Further opportunities can arise as seats move between rounds.

ICAR Round 2 Counselling 2026

Candidates remaining eligible after Round 1 may be considered for Round 2.

Seat movement can occur when:

• Candidates decline seats

• Candidates upgrade

• Seats remain vacant

• Candidates fail verification

• Universities report vacancies

ICAR Round 3 Counselling 2026

Round 3 provides another opportunity for eligible candidates.

Candidates should continue checking:

• Vacancy matrix

• New seat availability

• Cut-offs

• Allotment status

ICAR Round 4 Counselling 2026

ICAR's 2026 UG counselling schedule provides for four main rounds.

Candidates still seeking admission should not stop checking after Round 2 or Round 3.

ICAR Mop-Up / Final Round 2026

After the main rounds, ICAR may conduct a mop-up/final round for vacant seats.

The official counselling portal already includes a Vacant Seat Matrix (For Mop-up / Final Round) section.

Eligibility for this stage should be checked from the official counselling rules.

ICAR Seat Matrix 2026

The seat matrix shows programme-wise and university-wise available seats.

Candidates should check:

• University

• Course

• Category

• Seat count

• Fee details

before making admission decisions.

The official counselling portal publishes the UG seat matrix and fee details.

ICAR UG Courses 2026

ICAR counselling covers agriculture and allied undergraduate programmes offered by participating universities.

Depending on the participating university and current seat matrix, courses can include areas such as:

• B.Sc. Agriculture

• B.Sc. Horticulture

• B.Sc. Forestry

• B.Sc. Community Science

• B.Tech Agricultural Engineering

• B.Tech Dairy Technology

• B.Tech Food Technology

• Fisheries-related programmes

• Sericulture

• Other agriculture/allied disciplines

Candidates should use the 2026 counselling seat matrix for exact course availability.

ICAR B.Sc. Agriculture Counselling 2026

B.Sc. Agriculture is one of the most searched programmes in ICAR counselling.

Admission depends on:

• Merit rank

• Category

• Preferred university

• Round

• Seat availability

There is no single nationwide B.Sc. Agriculture cut-off for every university.

ICAR Agriculture University Cut-Off 2026

The cut-off varies by:

• University

• Course

• Category

• Round

• Seat availability

Candidates should use round-wise allotment data once published.

ICAR Round 1 Cut-Off 2026

The Round 1 cut-off will become clearer after the seat-allotment process.

Candidates may eventually compare:

This table should be expanded after official cut-off data is published.

ICAR Rank vs College 2026

One of the biggest search clusters after allotment is:

• Which university can I get with rank 1000?

• Which college can I get with rank 5000?

• Can I get B.Sc. Agriculture?

• Can I get a government agriculture university?

No rank alone guarantees admission.

The result depends on:

Rank + Category + Course + University Choices + Round + Seats

Government Agriculture University Cut-Off 2026

Government/public agricultural universities can attract strong demand because of:

• Lower tuition

• Research infrastructure

• ICAR ecosystem

• Established agriculture programmes

Actual closing ranks can differ significantly between universities and courses.

ICAR Counselling Documents Required 2026

Candidates should keep documents ready such as:

• CUET UG scorecard

• ICAR merit/rank card

• Class 10 certificate

• Class 12 marksheet

• Class 12 certificate

• Category certificate

• EWS certificate

• PwD certificate

• Domicile/other documents where applicable

• Candidate photograph

• Identity proof

• Allotment letter

The final list should be checked from the official counselling brochure.

ICAR Document Verification 2026

Candidates allotted a seat may need to upload or present documents for verification.

Verification confirms:

• Educational eligibility

• Category

• Identity

• Qualification

• Other admission conditions

A seat can be cancelled if required documents are invalid or missing.

What If a Document Is Rejected?

Candidates should check the specific reason shown in the counselling portal and follow the correction/resubmission process within the deadline where allowed.

Do not ignore document queries.

ICAR Counselling Fee 2026

Candidates should check the official counselling brochure and portal for the current:

• Registration fee

• Seat acceptance amount

• University fee

• Refund conditions

Do not use old 2025 amounts as confirmed 2026 fees.

Can I Get a Refund If I Withdraw?

Refund rules depend on:

• Counselling stage

• Withdrawal timing

• Fee type

• Admission status

Candidates should check the current 2026 refund policy before cancelling an allotted seat.

ICAR Counselling Help Desk

The official portal provides a Help Desk where candidates can submit queries using details such as:

• Candidate name

• Registration number

• Email ID

• Mobile number

• Identification proof

Candidates facing genuine technical or admission issues should use the official help desk rather than unofficial social-media groups.

ICAR Counselling Result Not Opening

Heavy traffic can temporarily affect the portal after allotment release.

If the result is not opening:

1. Wait for a few minutes.

2. Refresh the website.

3. Try another browser.

4. Clear browser cache.

5. Switch networks.

6. Avoid repeated payment attempts.

7. Check the official notification section.

How to Know if I Got a Seat

After logging in, the portal should display the candidate's current allotment status.

If allotted, check:

• University

• Programme

• Category

• Reporting deadline

• Seat acceptance requirement

If no seat is allotted, the dashboard may indicate that status.

Is Round 1 Allotment Final?

Not necessarily.

Candidates seeking an upgrade may move to a higher preference in future rounds if the counselling rules permit it.

Candidates who finalize/accept a seat without further upgrade will proceed according to the applicable admission instructions.

Can My Round 1 Seat Change in Round 2?

Yes, where the candidate participates in an allowed upgradation process and a higher-preference seat becomes available.

Can I Keep Both Round 1 and Round 2 Seats?

Normally, a counselling upgrade does not mean holding two independent seats.

Candidates should follow ICAR's exact seat-replacement and acceptance rules.
