MDCAT Qualifying Marks for MBBS and BDS
| Programme | Minimum MDCAT Requirement |
|---|---|
| MBBS | 55% |
| BDS | 50% |
Qualifying MDCAT does not automatically guarantee admission. Candidates must still satisfy the applicable academic eligibility criteria, admission aggregate, merit position, quotas and seat availability at medical or dental colleges.
What Happens After MDCAT Results?
Successful candidates should now monitor the relevant admission authority for MBBS and BDS registration, merit lists, college preference submission and counselling or seat-allocation schedules.
Candidates who believe there is an issue with their score should also check whether their conducting authority has opened recounting, review or retotalling. SZABMU, for example, published a recounting notice after declaring its MDCAT 2026 result, while KMU currently provides a retotalling facility through its official result portal.
Students should rely on official university, testing-service and PMDC communications for admission-related updates rather than unofficial result calculators or social-media merit claims.
