The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi has invited applications for its one-month residential programme under the PRAYAS 4.0 initiative. Organised by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), the programme is scheduled to be held in July 2026 at the IIT Mandi campus.
This initiative aims to provide students with structured exposure to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It is designed for learners from diverse academic backgrounds, and prior technical knowledge is not mandatory, making it accessible to a wide range of participants.
PRAYAS, which stands for “Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students,” focuses on building both foundational and advanced skills in modern technology domains. The programme is structured to help participants gradually develop their understanding from basic concepts to more advanced applications.
Curriculum and Learning Approach
The PRAYAS 4.0 programme follows a comprehensive and immersive learning model. Participants will attend daily sessions lasting 5 to 6 hours, conducted by experienced faculty members from IIT Mandi.
The curriculum combines theoretical learning with hands-on practical training. Over the course of four weeks, students will engage in laboratory work, projects, and interactive sessions to strengthen their technical skills.
Key areas covered in the programme include embedded systems, fundamentals of artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, and intelligent automation. Participants will also gain access to advanced laboratories and infrastructure available at IIT Mandi, ensuring a real-world learning experience.
Programme Details: Duration, Fees and Facilities
The residential programme will run for one month and includes on-campus accommodation and dining facilities. This setup is intended to create a focused and disciplined learning environment for all participants.
The total programme fee is ₹62,400 plus applicable GST. This fee covers tuition, lodging, and meals throughout the duration of the course.

Certification and Benefits
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive a certificate from the Centre for Continuing Education, IIT Mandi. This certification recognises their training and exposure to advanced technology fields such as AI, Robotics, and IoT.
