ICAR-NDRI uses program-specific admission rather than one institution-wide route. ICAR-NDRI follows this structure: B.Tech. follows the current ICAR national undergraduate entrance/counseling framework; master’s and Ph.D. use the ICAR/NTA All-India entrance and ICAR counseling system with program-level qualifying-degree and research conditions. ICAR-NDRI applicants must verify the exact qualifying credential, required subjects or prior discipline, minimum academic threshold and the entrance, counseling, interview, portfolio, professional or research condition attached to the chosen program. ICAR-NDRI does not treat a valid score or rank as a substitute for academic eligibility, and minimum eligibility does not guarantee selection where capacity, category rules, research fit, portfolio or interview performance also matters. ICAR-NDRI selected candidates complete authorized offer acceptance, document verification, fee payment and registration before enrollment becomes final. ICAR-NDRI hostel allocation, scholarship approval, stipend/fellowship activation, professional registration and research funding remain separate processes. ICAR-NDRI applicants with international or non-standard qualifications should complete any required equivalence before final verification.
