IIT Jammu 7th Convocation 2026: Gold and Silver Medal Winners and Degree Details
The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) held its 7th Convocation on September 26, 2026, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduating students. A total of 420 degrees were conferred across BTech, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes during the ceremony.
The convocation also recognised students with President, Director, Institute Gold and Institute Silver Medals for outstanding academic performance. Dr Shankar M. Venugopal, Vice President at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., attended as the chief guest, while Dr Amitabh Ranjan, Vice Chairman of Pan IIT Alumni India, was the guest of honour.

‘Antardṛṣṭi’ Sculpture Unveiled at IIT Jammu
Another highlight of the seventh convocation was the unveiling of ‘Antardṛṣṭi’, meaning “inner vision.” The sculpture was dedicated to the graduating class of 2026 and symbolises the transition from university life to the next stage of a graduate's professional and personal journey.
The convocation brought together graduating students, faculty members, families and distinguished guests to mark the completion of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. With 420 graduates receiving degrees and several students being recognised for academic and wider achievements, IIT Jammu's seventh convocation marked another milestone in the institute's academic journey.
